GroundUI vs Refero

Refero is a design-reference library of more than 145,000 web and iOS screens and 12,000 user flows from real products. Choose Refero if

  • You want to study how real web and iOS products design a screen or flow.
  • You design in Figma and want references inside it.
  • You want your agent to follow a design-research method, which Refero ships as an agent skill.

Choose GroundUI if

  • You want a screen as code you can drop into a Flutter, React Native, SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose project.
  • You build Android apps as well as iOS.
  • You want a one-time Lifetime option instead of a subscription.

Using both: They fit together: Refero for researching patterns across real products, GroundUI for the coded screen your team or coding agent then adapts.

Frequently asked questions

Does Refero give you source code?
Refero does not list source code among its features. It provides screenshots, user flows and styles from real web and iOS products, a Figma plugin and an MCP server. GroundUI provides source code for every screen in at least one of Flutter, React Native, Jetpack Compose or SwiftUI.
What is the difference between Refero MCP and GroundUI MCP?
Refero MCP lets an agent research real screens and flows, with structured metadata about their patterns and layout. GroundUI MCP gives an agent a build brief for one screen: the design image, step-by-step instructions and reference source code to adapt.
Is GroundUI a Refero alternative?
For design research, Refero’s library is much larger. GroundUI is the alternative when you need code: fewer screens, each one ready to build from.
